The Apex Problem
When people have a fear or anxiety for most of their lives, then suddenly it is gone within 1 hour, people often find it hard to come to terms with.
People quickly forget how bad they felt when they came to us, and they tend to either play it down ("I never felt that bad anyway"), or deny that TFT was responsible for removing the strong emotion ("I just can't think about it right now, it'll come to me later"). This is known as the "Apex Problem".
Here are some common responses to the relief from strong negative emotions, after treatment:- "I can't think of it right now"
- "You distracted me"
- "I know it will come back as soon as I leave here"
- "I can't remember what I was thinking about"
- "This is too simple, it couldn't have workded"
- "I really wasn't that afraid/anxious before"
- "I have worked on this for years; this couldn't have made a difference"
- "This treatment repressed my feelings about my fear/anxiety"
- (That's what you wanted wasn't it?)
- "Though, on a scale of 1 to 10, I told you I felt it as a 10, it's not the sort of thing I can really give you a rating on now"
